It looks very slick, easy to use and able to do a TON of different things, that the atv lacks. I love my ATV, but i must admit, this little box can slap the atv upside the head. The Boxee box may eventually become THE box to buy. SNB's job isn't to help sell Boxee boxes.

It will either be another WD Live Plus unit or the Boxee Box. Engadget has just posted a brief video demonstration of the new boxee box and software. I make reference to the 'before the end of the year' pitch and link over to the Boxee blog post that has the whole marketing pitch. Need to have a distraction every once and a while. I installed Boxee Box on my PC (something like Hulu desktop). I would look at an open box Boxee on NewEgg or pick up a Roku as the newest version of XBMC supports just about everything under the sun plus Hi10. This speeds up the Boxee's scrapper and eliminates false positive identifications (this also works for XBMC) The Boxee will start to choke when your movie list is larger than 1200 titles if you are using 1500x1000 HQ box art but this can be avoided by using the list view. I recommend organizing each of your movies and entire TV series into their own directories and then use something like Ember Media Manager to manually scrap all the info into said folders. Their scrapper is slow but works for the most part. Unfortunately Kodi 14 doesnt run for the build posted on my BB. There is no Hi10 (10bit) support and there never will be due to hardware limitations so you will have to re-encode newer anime titles to watch them on the Boxee. And from the four media players I have (Jynxbox, RikoMagic, Raspberry Pi & Boxee), the Boxee is, by far, the best. There are a few caveats with the Boxee though.
Netflix also works like a charm on the little box. The Boxee Box has a 100mb NIC so it theoretically should be fine up to about a file rate of 40Gigs an hour, but I haven't tested anything larger than 32Gigs. I have had a Boxee since shortly after launch and I can say for the most part that it is a great little device.
